All along we wanted to capture a lot of memories of this celebration with pictures. How fun would it be to have a little contest between the families that involves taking pictures. All without Elmer & Ginny knowing a thing about it.  Why not tell them? Because they will be the subjects of most of the pictures we have to take. They are the celebrated couple, why not?

Below is the directions that each family member got in the welcome tote.  Hit the picture task and see the results. Some of them were simple, some VERY difficult. You can tell by the amount of pictures for each.

It didn't take long for Elmer & Ginny to realize something was up. after all, each family member has a disposable camera, and they all seem to be taking the same kind of photos.

On the column to the right is a list of pictures that your family is required to obtain throughout the next few days. These photos are a combined list of what has been submitted from each family. Please read the following very carefully, it may answer some of the questions you could have.

  1. Mom and Dad know nothing about this and we DON’T want them to know about it. We are giving the pictures to them as a gift after the trip is done and we develop the film. At the Polynesian dinner they will be told about the picture contest, but not about what we are to do with the pictures.
  2. Each picture can be taken with any camera, there is a disposable camera in your welcome tote for those without cameras.
  3. Photo requirements that indicate +/or in the requirement mean either Mom or dad, or both in the picture.
  4. Some of these picture requirements may have only one opportunity. You can take a picture at the same time as another family if the opportunity is there to complete a requirement.
  5. These are "candid" photos. Please do not ask for the subjects to "pose". No "Alliances" either
  6. IF Mom or Dad ask about the cameras and/or if they want to know if something is going on. A standard reply can be, " you’ll find out" (which they will at the Polynesian dinner).
  7. There will be a special prize awarded to the family that accomplishes the most pictures on the list. Honor system will apply since the proof will be developed at a later date.

Notes:

Please remember that this contest is really for a picture album for mom & dad. Even if it seems boring or "lame" please give it your best effort for them.

Please use all the exposures in the disposable camera. Even if you have completed the contest list, it would be great to capture various other memories that you are experiencing. ALL the disposable cameras will be collected at the end of the Polynesian dinner.

Color Codes:

Black: The older Jones Family is not required to get these photos

Red: The Boisen/Zarba family is not required to get these photos

Magenta: The Heckman family is not required to get these photos

Green: The Richardson famliy is not required to get these photos

Blue: The younger Jones family is not required to get these photos.
